This is a new birdcall for me . I slip up upon this gem a few calendar week ago while clicking through some random playlists on Rdio . It ’s a hatful dumb than most of the music that I heed to , but I ca n’t hold on take heed to it . perchance its the lyric ( I can concern to the old family devolve around my ear ) or the bouncy , yet melancholy music that seize me and wo nt lease go .
The original version was written by folk vocalist Richard Thompson for his wife Linda and it ’s a classic , but this interpretation from David Gilmour is just double-dyed . It has a smooth acoustic sound that I have a go at it . And it ’s refreshing to hear the Pink Floyd lead sing something so folksy . I ’d say he pull it off quite nicely . Do n’t you think ?
