When I was invited to write a tale for Classics Mutilated , my first intake was something called “ Trismegistus Shandy . ” But brush up on Hermetic subject area and rereading Tristram Shandy in hopes of seethe it down to the story of a necromancer with ADD , only sounded like fun until I contemplate how small I really knew of each . What I needed was something more well ascertainable by pilfer my own shelf of books , toys and DVDs―the variety of stuff that Youtube mash - ups are made of . In the end , the deed appear out of nowhere and dictated the report , but it was made of elements that already had their origin in me . I have play a just moment of Pokemon in my day , and Werner Herzog ’s Grizzly Man is one of my very favourite films , both for its haunting account and for Herzog ’s pervasive voice ( the ultimate charade of which has already been captured in the inadequate cinema “ Grizzly Bear Man , ” a parody by “ travisandjohnson , ” which may itself be found on YouTube ) .
