Aja , the music director of Piranha 3-D , The Hills Have Eyes and High Tension , bribe the right to the bestselling manga about a pirate who changes his own face and erase his own memories to cover from his enemies . But eventually his memories hail back and he regain his ship Tortuga and his companion , Lady Armaroid . The manga and anime were passing popular in Europe , so putting the promo art on the back of European Variety in time for Cannes is no doubt aim at drumming up interest — and financing — for the movie .
