Before that can hap , we ’re in the FBI criminal offence research lab , where we learn that the only teeth in the skull found in Dolarhyde ’s torch manse were “ gran ’s dentures . ” Side annotation : in a perfect world , not only would Hannibal be drop dead on for multiple more seasons , but we ’d also be getting a spin - off show featuring Price and Zeller .
So Jack Crawford now knows what Will already found out ( and , permit ’s face it , Hannibal likely already intuit ): Dolarhyde is still alive . He ’s still out there . The camera pans to Jack ’s right hand and we see Will is also in the room , having survived his nighttime sojourn with Dolarhyde but NOT HAVING TOLD JACK ABOUT IT . “ The keen Dragon lives , ” he notice . Moments subsequently , he suggests to Jack that Hannibal would be the right bait to tempt Dolarhyde out of concealment . Jack ’s questioning , but he trusts Will ’s instinct ( yet again ) , and the plan is go down : take Hannibal into Union custody , and manipulate an escape .
Bedelia is , of track , appal by this turning of events , reminding Will that no matter how he thinks he ’ll manipulate the position to his vantage , he will fail , because it ’s always Advantage : Hannibal . Always . But “ it ’s all academic degree of disadvantage , ” he tells her . And by the way , he does n’t intend for Hannibal to be re - fascinate . He intends for Hannibal to pall . No , there is not . He immediately knows it ’s Will ’s doing , and Alana acknowledge it . She also tells him he ’ll get his books and drawings ( and toilet ) back as thanks for helping catch Dolarhyde . He agrees , tentatively , but he also cue her that she ’s been last on borrow time . Like Bedelia , she ’s on his “ multitude to vote down / eat ” tilt .

Jack , Alana , and Will meet to solidify the plan . They ’ll kill Dolarhyde … and then they ’ll bolt down Hannibal . “ To the Devil his due , ” Will says . But to get Hannibal onboard , he ’ll need to be asked by Will . He ’ll require to hear him say please . Hannibal quickly removes his control , and surmises that Dolarhyde is n’t go to kill them on the open road . He ’ll need more … privateness , ya see .
Hannibal , seasoned escapee , is all occupation as he yanks a dead pig out of the nearest driver ’s seat and slides behind the wheel . “ You know , Will , you concern too much , ” he read . He shoves another cop stiff out of the passenger ’s side , and ask , “ Going my agency ? ” They speed off together ; it ’s very Thelma and Louise . hr later , Jack Crawford survey the butchery Dolarhyde left on the roadside , with Will and Hannibal long endure . The spirit on his brass is that of a gentleman who knows he ’s been play … again .
Hannibal and Will terminate up in the cliffside abode where , Hannibal note the bluff is eat at since he visited it last : “ There was more soil when I was here with Abigail … more still when I was here with Miriam Lass . ” Soon , he tells Will , “ all of this will be lost to the sea . ” They settle into an uneasy yet oddly conversant dynamic , Hannibal start the wine phellem , as they wait for Dolarhyde ’s inevitable arrival . “ hold open yourself , kill them all ? ” Hannibal allege to Will , echoing his early advice to Dolarhyde … but also effloresce Will ’s assume plan for this threesome - to - get .

Just kidding . Like Team W & H 4Ever was n’t going to pull this one off ? Working together , they manage to subdue Dolarhyde by slice across his pectus ( Will ) and biting out his throat ( Hannibal ) . The medicine swells , and Siouxsie Sioux ’s voice warbling about LOVE CRIMES cuts through the battue to steer us through the end . “ This is all I ever wanted for you , Will , ” Hannibal say as they surge and breathe on each other . “ It ’s beautiful , ” Will murmers . They clasp in an embracing and absorb together over that crumble , tumbling bluff .
But that ’s not the last matter we see . No , the concluding moment is given over to Bedelia , expectantly expect Hannibal ’s arrival , a human leg magnificently prepared as dinner party on the candlelit table . The camera pan down to reveal a bandage stump beneath her sexy evening surgical gown .
It ’s HER leg !
