Want to get a beer on a Tuesday ? Now you may blame your pauperization to do a scientific experiment . First , though , you need to go to a bar and get a Guinness and some peanut . And , what the hell , another Guinness .
Bubbles , being less dense than the beer that they ’re set aside in , rise upwardly through the beer . In order for that upward motion to be at all noticeable , however , the house of cards need to be moving through beer that is n’t falling . Even in a stationary glassful , the beer uprise and falls .
As the bubble rise up through it , they produce an up current through the center of the looking glass . This upward motion ca n’t end in the beer climb out of the glass , so the liquid needs to come down back down . The liquid that ’s pushed up through the center of the looking glass falls back down the sides . The house of cards diminish with it . Enough of a good look , and you should see that .

The phenomenon also works in shaken - up particulate solids , which is why , if you shake a bunch of granola , the chunky bits rise to the top . It ’s specially noticeable with Brazil nuts . In the showcase of the nut , they ’re too bighearted to fall back down the sides of the package and are stranded on top , which is why you cereal catch progressively boring as you mold your way to the bottom of the parcel . You do n’t have to worry about that with beer , though . The bubbles come up , and they go down . People urge Guinness for this experiment because it ’s obscure enough to see the bubbles understandably , but if you need to try it with another brand , go forward .

If you need a little help , try put peanut vine in your beer . This is why you ’ll need at least two pints . The bubbles adhere to the surface of the peanuts and annul them up . Once they get to the top of the beer , the peanut vine should be carried towards the side of the Methedrine . On the surface of the beer , the bubbles burst , and the peanut vine slide back down .

Give it a shot .
