James Van Der Beek’swife Kimberly is celebrating the actor as a wonderful husband and father on his birthday.
On Friday, the mom of six posted a sweet tribute to her longtime loveon Instagram, praising him for being such an “incredible example” for their kids. James and Kimberly share six kids together: daughters Olivia, 13, Joshua, 11, Annabel, 10, Emilia, 7, Gwendolyn, 5, and Jeremiah, 2.
Sharing a series of photos of her husband with all of their kids, Kimberly took a moment to honor James in the caption.
“@vanderjamesHAPPY BIRTHDAY! It is so appropriate that your birthday is on International Women’s Day because you are such a beautiful place for our little ladies to explore what it is to be fully expressed in their authentic selves,” she wrote.

Last month, James posted a video on his Instagram after his daughterOlivia appeared onWe Are Familyto sing a duet with her dad.
The dad of six took his viewers behind the scenes of filming the show in his video, giving a tour of his daughter’s dressing room, posting footage of her singing on stage and including photos of the two from the special experience.
“When I was 15, I first told my mom I wanted to audition professionally. She didn’t hold me back. She took me to NYC, and she walked me through it,” James began his caption.
“So when the opportunity to do#WeAreFamilyFoxcame up and my 13 year-old lit up like a carbon copy of me at that age… I let her put herself on tape. I got her some voice lessons. And I walked her through it,” he said.
