The former NFL player 36, opened up about his gratitude for Kramer, 39, and her fiancéAllan Russellin a heartfeltThanksgivingInstagram post, which featured a photo of himself, Kramer and Russell, 42, with Kramer and Caussin’s two kids: daughterJolie, 7, and sonJace, who turns 5 on Wednesday.
“I’m going against my own reasoning for creating this account and choosing to make a personal post,” Caussin began in the caption. “I have an immense amount to be thankful for, most of which is my family. Starting with my parents and siblings. Simply said … they epitomize unconditional love.”
“Next is my ‘modern family,’ " he continued alongside the Thursday photo post. “I’m incredibly grateful for where@kramergirland I are at in our relationship. We have both found a way to flourish for ourselves and more importantly the kids. The fact that she has found someone like@superiorstrikeronly adds to my level of gratitude towards the entire situation.”
“Jolie and Jace have the gift of three parents that love them and will do anything to protect them. As a father, what more could I ask for… Happy Thanksgiving 🙌🏼,” Caussin concluded his post, which Kramer reposted toher Instagram Storyalongside the word “thankful” and a blue heart emoji.

During a May episode of herWhine Down with Jana Kramerpodcast, the country star announced her engagement to her now-fiancé, after six-and-a-half months of dating. The two went on to welcome sonRomanon Nov. 13.
Detailing how Caussin reacted after learning about the engagement during a FaceTime call with their daughter, Kramer recalled, “He was like, ‘Hey, I’m really happy for you. Allan’s a great guy.’ "
After thanking Caussin, Kramer explained that she started to cry overher ex’s reaction.
“Because he goes, ‘Of all people, you deserve to have someone who loves you and respects you. You deserve this. After everything I put you through, you deserve this more than anyone.’ And it meant so much to me that he said that,” she said.
