Erin Napierencounters an unwanted visitor during a home renovation in Sunday’sHome Townpremiere.

In the exclusive clip above from Sunday’s new episode, Erin is removing an external shutter from the house she and husbandBen Napierare sprucing up for a Canadian family relocating to Laurel, Mississippi, when Erin is startled to uncover a lizard.

“To me, lizards and snakes are the exact same thing,” Erin, 38, explains.

When Ben, 40, asks for her thoughts on frogs, she replies that she doesn’t like them either. “She thinks of frogs and lizards as snakes with legs,” Ben says.

“This is my irrational fear,” Erin reveals. “I get scared of a lizard and someone thinks ‘Well, this is funny’ and they get the lizard and try to put it on me and then I would die.”

During the interview, the couple shared a mishap that occurred when they had a speaking engagement at a Southern Baptist college a few days after the operation.

“I took my [pain] medicine right before I went in and it hit while I was onstage," Ben said.

“My confidence soared, and I could not keep a train of thought,” he recalled. “The whole time I knew what was going on.”

The experience was especially jarring for Ben.

“I’ve never drank. I’ve never taken anything so it was like, ‘Whoa,’” he said.

Ben jokingly responded, “I don’t know. I do not remember this FaceTime at all because I was on drugs.”

The couple, who tied the knot on Nov. 22, 2008, recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, and Erin reflected on the occasion in a heartfeltInstagram tribute.

“I sometimes think of all the people in the world, and how the earth is just this tiny dusty speck in the universe,” she wrote. “And somehow, we managed to find each other.”
